Oyashirazu and Koshirazu Beaches
At the place where northernmost mountains Japan Alps meet the Sea of Japan, there are cliffs 300-400 meters tall that have been known since long ago as the most difficult passage of the Hokkoku Road. Mt. Myoko and Lake Imori

Also known as Niigata’s Mt. Fuji, the 2,454 meter high Mt. Myoko is counted as one as Japan’s 100 famous mountains. Reflecting this grand peak is the beautiful Lake Imori, surrounded by a white birch forest. Known for its approximately 100,000 flowering water plants, it is said that Lake Imori is the most beautiful place to view Mt. Myoko.![]()

Naena Fall
Naenanotaki (Naena Fall) has been chosen as one of Japan’s 100 greatest waterfalls, at a height of 55 meters. The sounds of the massive amounts of falling water can be heard from all directions, giving it the name “Earthquake Waterfall”.![]()
