Lotuses of Sakata Lagoon
Sakata is Japan’s tenth designated wetland under the Ramsar Convention. The wetland is full of native vegetation, including the nationally valued giant prickly water lily. In winter, several thousands of swans and geese settle here for the season.

Seaside Line
The Seaside Line is a driving course going from Kakuda in Niigata City to Nozumi in Nagaoka City with a total length of 13km. Drive by the breaking waves, and enjoy the changing views of crags, peaks, and famous rock formations.

Mt. Yahiko Ropeway & Skyline
If you are looking to reach the top of Mt. Yahiko quickly, the 5 minute ride on the ropeway is suggested. Or, try driving your car up the Mt. Yahiko Skyline. It's a terrific driving course where you can enjoy views of both the Niigata Plain and the Sea of Japan.

Yahiko Park (Maple Valley)
At Yahiko Park you can see the different expressions of the four seasons. In the stream-filled area known as Maple Valley around vermillion-lacquered Kan-tsuki Bridge, the scenery becomes like a panting during the time of autumn foliage.

Niigata Prefectural Botanical Garden
In this approximately 20-hectare wide park, different varieties of plants and flowers are on display according to themes. In the dome-style greenhouse, one of the largest in Japan, there is a waterfall with a 15 meter drop, as well as approximately 420 varieties of tropical flora.

Agano River Line Boat Ride
